Tutorial9 - Walk-through iPhone and iPad examples

As we have mentioned in the last Tutorial, the TeeChart NET for iOS installer includes a folder named Examples, which contains examples which can be opened from MonoDevelop with MonoTouch license installed and runs either in the iPad/iPhone emulator or in the device itself.

The TChartFeatures example includes part of the functionalities incorporated in this version, such as the types of Series available. Each Series type example is adapted for its best visual appearance, whether it is 2D or 3D. In the demo itself we can change the appearance of the Chart if we so desire, for example by applying a different theme, colour palette, rotation, etc. Or we can apply Functions to a particular Series as well as customizing the legend. It also allows us to check the different functionalities by using the available ZoomScrollStyles and ZoomStyles (Gestures).

A CustomDrawing example is also included in the installer which shows how to draw specific texts or objects in the Chart view.

The installer also comes with an iPad example applications showing how to implement a DashBoard chart.

If we want to create a new application where we can add the TChart component to it, all we have to do is add the the reference to the TeeChartiOS.dll to our project. Also, we can reference the TeeChartiOS project directly if we have the version of TeeChart NET for iOS with the source code included.
Once we have completed these simple steps we can start to use the TeeChart component and make use of the classes just like we would with a basic C# project.
